Andy Hall (Bramhall, captain)
Right-handed batsman
- Andy has been a consistent performer for the county with the
bat. Has scored over 4,000 runs for Cheshire with a highest score
of 175. Been captain since 2002. Has represented and captained
the Minor Counties representative side and Under-25s team. Cheshire's
most season player with 66 Championship appearances.
Nathan Dumelow (Oulton Park, vice captain)
Right-handed batsman, right-arm off-spinner
- Nathan has scored nearly 2,000 Championship runs for Cheshire
and is the county's leading wicket-taker with 26 scalps. Former
Derbyshire player and has nearly 150 career wickets.
Matthew Dawson (Bramhall, Wicketkeeper)
Right-handed batsman
- Matt averages 87.50 in the Championship this season and has
only been out twice. He has also taken 11 catches and six stumpings.
David Hurst (Neston)
Right-handed batsman
- David is one of the side's young emerging players, has impressed
with some useful runs at the top of the order. Tipped for a bright
future have developed in the junior ranks. Has represented Lancashire
2nd XI.
Warren Goodwin (Chester Boughton Hall)
Right-handed batsman, right-arm medium
- Warren is close to reaching 1,000 Championship runs for the
county. Made a brilliant 154 in a record opening stand of 317
with Danny Leech (202) in the 2007 Championship final victory
over Northumberland. Has represented the Minor Counties Under-25
side.
Ben Spendlove (Oulton Park)
Right-handed batsman, right-arm medium
- Ben has had a fine season with the willow having scored 599
Championship runs at an average of 74.87. A top-score of 148,
two centuries and four half centuries in nine innings tells it's
own story. Like Dumelow, a former first-class cricketer with Derbyshire.
Jason Whittaker (Alderley Edge)
Right-handed batsman, right-arm fast/medium
- Jason has scored over 1,000 Championship runs and taken 90 wickets
for his county. A solid performer and valued member of the team.
Daniel Berry (Hyde)
Right-handed batsman, right-arm off-spinner
- Danny is another promising young player who has impressed this
season. Averages 121 this season having only been out once in
five innings. Has also weighed in with 10 important wickets. Has
also represented Lancashire 2nd XI.
Adam Syddall (Bowdon)
Right-handed batsman, left-arm fast bowler
- Has impressed with 23 wickets this season with a Championship
best return of 8/83. Has represented Lancashire 2nd XI, Hampshire
2nd XI and both the Minor Counties and Minor Counties Under-25
sides
Chris Finegan (Neston)
Right-handed batsman, right-arm fast bowler
- Chris has taken nearly 100 wickets for Cheshire in the Championship
and is one of the team's most senior members with over 40 matches
under his belt and was awarded his county cap in 2007.
Rick Moore (Oulton Park)
Right-handed batsman, right-arm fast/medium
- Rick is also a talented young player coming through the ranks.
Has chipped in with useful runs and wickets this season at crucial
times. Top score of 61 this term and has had two half centuries
and taken eight wickets.
